on the day i went to the marne to document the beggining of the color change, it was a wonderful sunny day.
and i finally took some photos of the sweet little houses on the river side.
i noticed yesterday that the colors haven't changed that much... the trees are still mostely green, even though it has been a while since i took these.
also, on saturday we went to provins! it alsmost felt like the road trips i used to do back in portugal... only by train...
i think i need to visit more outside of paris... any suggestions on lovely places?!
These are beautiful pictures look like summer. With us, it was all very colorful, but slowly everything is very brown. Brown is still strong and looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI visited last year, Tours and the Castle of Chambord - up to Tours it was just an hour by train from Paris. Tours is a nice little town, with many students.
I wish you a wonderful trip to Provence. And I'm looking forward to the pictures.
i was hoping to see more brown and yellow here, but i think the leaves will just fall, still green.
Deletei'd love to go there...! but we'll see :)
One of my aunts lives in le Perreux-sur-Marne. Everything around the river is so, so beautiful. I wish I could go there more often.
ReplyDeleteI must add, your photos are truly special for me since I miss France so much (and thanks to you, I am able to read and see how it changes while I'm away)
Have a good day, dear Joana ♥
the proximity to the river is what i love here :)

if you get the chance, dear Joana, you should visit Normandy - isn't it one of the most fascinating places in France? :-)

The second picture is awesome!

DeleteYes, you should take some time and go visit the Chateaux de la Loire. You won't regret it.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise by train I guess you can be in Normandy pretty quickly, to see the sea ! I would suggest you to visit Etretat there.
i actually heard of them (and did a quick search) a few weeks ago! it's already on my list of places to visit :) if only i had my car here...
Deletereally beautiful...the first pic looks like from a movie..u know, just when the story is starting:)
ReplyDeletehaha.. i handn't thought about that!
DeleteLes bords de Marne are really charming ! You should go to St-Malo and Cancale it's beautiful there, it's less than 3 hours by train :)
ReplyDeletei will try!
Deleteit's nice to have so many ideas on beautiful places in france... i can add many pins to my 'to visit' list/map :)

ReplyDeleteNow that I know Nantes and around (the ocean is one hour away by car), I can only advise you to go there. It's a very nice and animated city ! The Vendée is savagely beautiful as well :)
ReplyDeleteFontainebleau Forest is one of my favorite places when I want to get out of Paris for a day. The boulders are amazing.
